چکیده
Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the foot muscle strength, shortness, tibialis posterior endurance, balance, and shoe preference differences between neutral pronated posture.
Methods: Forty-nine participants consisting 23 women 26 men, age 18 45 years were participated in study. Foot posture, medial longitudinal arch height, gastrocnemius hamstring ankle
static preferences evaluated. Subjects recruited into two groups according their posture evaluated with Posture Index: as those Results: Navicular drop, gastrocnemius, shortness significantly higher compared (p0.05).
Conclusion: Flexibility muscles reduced, but balance remained unaffected young individuals excessive pronation. Moreover, may not affect people. Although all age-related biomechanical effects pronation are well known yet, seems arise earlier than weakness reduced

EMG Activity of the Abductor Hallucis Muscle during Foot Arch Exercises Using Different Weight Bearing Postures
[Purpose] This study examined the effects of different weight-bearing postures on the activation of the abductor hallucis muscle during foot-arch exercises. [Subjects] The study recruited 11 healthy volunteers who were pain-free, had no history of foot or ankle surgery, and were able to maintain a standing posture. [Methods] The subjects performed short-foot and toe-spreading exercises while si...
متن کاملImportance and challenges of measuring intrinsic foot muscle strength
UNLABELLED BACKGROUND Intrinsic foot muscle weakness has been implicated in a range of foot deformities and disorders. However, to establish a relationship between intrinsic muscle weakness and foot pathology, an objective measure of intrinsic muscle strength is needed. The aim of this review was to provide an overview of the anatomy and role of intrinsic foot muscles, implications of intrin...
متن کاملMobility and Balance and Their Correlation with Physiological Factors in Elderly with Different Foot Postures
This study determines (1) the correlation between mobility and balance performances with physiological factors and (2) the relationship between foot postures with anthropometric characteristics and lower limb characteristics among elderly with neutral, pronated, and supinated foot. A cross-sectional observational study was conducted in community-dwelling elderly (age: 69.86 ± 5.62 years). Parti...

Introduction:We evaluated the performance of muscle perfusion scan (MPS) to assess muscle perfusion reserve (MPR) for prediction of incident diabetic foot ulcerations (DFU). Methods: We recruited 41 diabetic patients without any history of DFU. Five mCi 99mTc-MIBI was injected intravenously during repetitive dorsal and plantar right foot flexions. T...
متن کاملFootwear and Foot Impressions: Foot Impressions and Linking Foot to Shoe
The forensic application of barefoot morphology involves the study of the physical features of feet and the impressions they make. This type of examination is used in cases when either an impression has been made at the scene of a crime or when the wearer of a shoe needs to be determined. However rare the application, in instances where it is needed to answer a question in a criminal case, bare...
